Description & Features

Permatex 80072 Undercoating protects fenders, frames, fuel tanks, door panels, rocker panels, hoods, and firewalls against moisture, road salt, and corrosion. This body shop-proven undercoating won’t sag or drip, providing a firm, flexible, durable coating. It also sound-proofs and insulates vehicle underbodies, helping reduce road noise and vibrations.

Suggested Applications / Apply On

Directions for Use

1. Tap the bottom of the can to loosen the agitator ball. If it doesn’t loosen, shake until the ball rattles.
2. Shake the can for at least 5 minutes after hearing the agitator ball.
3. Ensure the surface is clean and dry for best adhesion.
4. Apply a uniform coating holding the can 10–12 inches from surface.
5. Apply multiple thin coats, allowing 15–20 minutes between coats. Shake well before reapplying.
6. Allow the coating to dry for 24 hours.
7. Avoid spraying closer than 12 inches to exhaust system or catalytic converter; never spray directly onto them.
8. For cleanup, use mineral spirits or kerosene.
